They suggest a that developer consider file formats upfront, instead of retrospectively. This approach will allow for easy editing and remixing of OER later. In addition, the speaker points to a range of other factors that needs to be taken into account when working with OER
Webinar 3 – Open Instructional Design and Assessments
In this webinar, Naomi Wahls discusses open education and open instructional design. She talk’s about how assessments in open courses need to be designed with the goal of having students do something with the content, and not just consume it. The importance of creating opportunities for learners to contextualize resources and use them in their own setting is also covered.
