In conversation with Michael

Yesterday (18 July on Mandela Day) I participated in a public conversation with Michael Gallagher . Where, in his words, we “ran the gammut on all things digital and education” Our rough outline was supposed to cover

• Me and my background
• The South African context
• A mliteracy project that supports social impact publishing
• Post-digital privilege

But we we covered a lot of other things and covered loads of points around digital education in Southern Africa.

Michael and I have an ambient friendship that goes back 20 years. Looked through my Twitter archive. And found this tweet. Michael’s response is not recorded (probably wisely deleted his Twitter history). But my memory is of an incredibly affirming reply. It made my day.
