I’ve been in too many LMS workshops, where the trainer has made too many assumptions . Where they have worked hard on a slideshow, filled it with annotated screen shots, and thought that this will explain the interface. That a sequence of numbered instructions laid out with specific actions will be sufficient to enable use.<\/p>\n

I’m worried about the standard of training. About the unintended disrespect. I prefer to begin my focus on understanding the people and the environment<\/a> wherein the technology will be used. To let them see the a wider picture, the obvious and latent possibilities and for hem to work out how they might apply these resources available to them within their circumstances.<\/p>\n

#Tips4Sakai<\/a> is set around four vignettes that off contrasting perspectives on the Sakai platform and the people who use it. These scenarios offer a launching spot to explore the many different ways that people might respond to and use Sakai.<\/p>\n
