You&#8217;ll often find me on Twitter. Offering my 2 C worth. But, since Xitter begun to implode (thanks Elon). I&#8217;ve began looking to be <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Prosocial_behavior\" target=\"_blank\">pro-social<\/a> elsewhere. Like others; I&#8217;ve been wondering.   &#8211; <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.lse.ac.uk\/highereducation\/2023\/07\/27\/where-now-for-academics-on-social-media-post-twitter\/\" target=\"_blank\">Where to now?<\/a> One of the alternatives I&#8217;ve been looking at has been <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/social.ds106.us\/@weblearning\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/social.ds106.us\/@weblearning\" target=\"_blank\">Mastodon<\/a>. Another was <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.threads.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Threads<\/a> &#8211; the Instagram related app. But I quickly withdrew (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/internet\/504390-twitter-rival-threads-is-bleeding-users.html\" target=\"_blank\">like many others<\/a>). When I realized that this platform was from the <a href=\"https:\/\/about.fb.com\/news\/2023\/07\/introducing-threads-new-app-text-sharing\/\">Zuck  \/Meta\/FB stable<\/a>. Another alternative is Slack. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since D -H OER are using this collaboration platform. Where communication is supposed to be organized and efficient, with ongoing conversations. I hopped onto the Slack channel (<a href=\"https:\/\/dhcssza.slack.com\/\">dhoer.slack.com<\/a>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Explore Further<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are many people in Digital Humanities who use these collaboration platforms to work together. I&#8217;d encourage you to use it to keep in contact with each other or get a quick reply to a question. Yes, Slack is guilty of interruptions that can kill productivity and one&#8217;s concentration. So if you are one of those people, who do not want to be interrupted. Then turn your notification off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Share in a Mission <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have not yet <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/join.slack.com\/t\/dhcssza\/shared_invite\/zt-197bu993q-B4ONTBX5sGPkKyHFGQgSEg\" target=\"_blank\">joined Slack<\/a>. Or tried it. Why not login. Update your profile pic. Introduce yourself on the channel. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have enjoyed this Slack community, and want to stretch your wing further. Then look at other organizations using Slack. For example. Meet <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/amandavisconti.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Amanda Visconti<\/a> introduces another <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdixlWvNtl2zrrodX9YzP4OmQ0xk5AwPEGZ0qxvlg9nbRReMw\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\">Digital-Humanities<\/a>  Slack group. And then there&#8217;s the <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.creativecommons.org\/wiki\/Slack\">Creative Commons<\/a> Slack Community.
