Creative Commons, is a member of OEG and as South Africa\u2019s CC representative on the GNC, and interested especially in developing, implementing and supporting open education in South Africa, I thought that it would be a good idea to participate in <a href=\"https:\/\/connect.oeglobal.org\/\">Connect<\/a>, their annual international conference. Highlights for me we the following <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Presentation entitled: &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/connect.oeglobal.org\/t\/colonising-the-curriculum-challenges-in-promoting-education-for-sustainable-development-through-open-educational-resources-in-a-developing-country\/386\">Colonising the Curriculum?&#8221; Challenges in Promoting Education for Sustainable Development Through Open Educational Resources in a Developing Country<\/a>\u201d<\/li><li>Presentation entitled: &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/connect.oeglobal.org\/t\/when-openness-excludes-strategies-for-equitable-open-pedagogies-in-diverse-contexts\/380\">When Openness Excludes: Strategies for Equitable Open Pedagogies in Diverse Contexts<\/a>&#8220;<\/li><li>Workshop entitled: &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/connect.oeglobal.org\/t\/developing-an-institutional-open-educational-practices-oep-self-assessment-tool\/476\">Developing an Institutional Open Educational Practices (OEP) Self Assessment Tool<\/a>&#8220;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was my <a href=\"https:\/\/weblearning.co.za\/blog\/2019\/12\/02\/oe-global-2019\/\">second OEGlobal conference<\/a>, and I enjoyed the opportunity to nurture old and new relationships, explore possible collaborations, understand issues better, and ask difficult questions, in a safe and convenient space.
